Alignment Based Yoga
In this class:
Enhance your general well-being in this yoga practice that develops strength and flexibility. This is an especially accessible style that focuses on alignment and includes challenges to students of all levels.
Together, we will:
- practice balanced sequences of traditional hatha yoga postures and their variations
- use props for support and as tools to practice yoga safely and fully
- moderate the pace allowing time for discovery and restoration
- emphasize learning through teacher instruction to help deepen understanding
- work towards alleviating aches and pains, reducing stress, and improving posture in every life.
This class is appropriate for beginning students including those with tighter, stiffer bodies; practitioners with some yoga experience; as well as long time practitioners.
Bring a yoga mat and blanket or beach towel. Additional props including blocks, belts and chairs are provided, or bring your own if you prefer.
About Beverly:
Beverly is a Certified Hatha Yoga Teacher with extensive study in various traditional and alignment styles. Her interests lie in understanding and working with natural movement principles so students can create a safe and sustainable yoga practice. With a broad background that includes adult training and education, you will find clarity in her instruction as well as kindness in her approach.
